visuSolution at the Low Vision Conference

“Clear vision, clear support” – this remains our motto and the foundation of the low-vision community.

We were very pleased to share our knowledge with colleagues at the Low Vision Conference in Frankfurt am Main and to answer their questions. The conference covered various topics in the field of optics, including therapeutic glasses, CVI (cerebral visual impairment), as well as tips for optimal communication with customers.

With our presentation “Viewing the World Differently: Digital Magnifiers as a Gateway to Independence – Compact Devices, Significant Quality of Life,” we drew attention to everyday challenges in optical stores and presented modern solutions. We introduced three products, Explorē 5, Explorē 8, and Explorē 12, and participants had the opportunity to try out these devices firsthand.

We are delighted that we were able to take part and exchange ideas with the members of the Low Vision Community. Together, we discussed how our solutions can best support customers to ensure excellent care. Despite current challenges, such as uncertainty in dealing with new technology, there remain great opportunities to provide people with visual impairments more independence and quality of life.

We would also like to thank our partner HumanWare, especially Nigel Evans, for the support and collaboration!

We look forward to many more exciting meetings and to further expanding our cooperation in the low-vision community. Of course, we are always available to answer questions in detail by email or phone.

visuSolution visited SILMO Paris

From September 26 to 29, our CEO Maik Zwick, Executive Assistant Elisabeth Meyer, and our U.S. partner Zeshan Khan from Xenon Ophthalmics had the pleasure of attending SILMO Paris, the international meeting point for optical enthusiasts and leading experts.

Since 1967, SILMO has been the world’s largest trade fair for eyewear and optics, bringing together opticians, retailers, and trendsetters from around the globe to share innovations, visions, and expertise.

At visuSolution, we place great value on staying ahead of industry trends and are always fascinated by the cutting-edge solutions showcased by our colleagues. For us, SILMO was a wonderful opportunity to build new connections, experience creativity and innovation firsthand, and gather valuable inspiration.

The exciting insights from the Trends Forum and SILMO Talks broadened our professional horizons even further. Today, we are more confident than ever that the future is in our hands – and with passion and enthusiasm, we will continue to shape the world of vision.

Until next year, SILMO Paris!

The SPD visits Brunkau

On August 15, 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming members of the SPD Altmark to our company in Brunkau near Tangerhütte.

Around 10 a.m., all participants arrived in the courtyard, where they were warmly greeted by the managing directors, Mr. Fischer and Mr. Zwick. After a brief welcome, the company presentation began. The managing directors provided an overview of the company’s history as well as the current product catalog. In particular, one of the company’s most significant innovations was highlighted: video centering. This technology enables opticians to capture precise measurement data from their customers — ensuring an optimal visual experience.

This was followed by a company tour in small groups. The guests received exclusive insights into various departments of our operation. The logistics and shipping departments were presented by the responsible employees as well as Ms. Meyer, the executive assistant to management. This area is responsible for purchasing, storage, shipping, and the final quality inspection of the hardware. On-site, visitors were shown a live demonstration of the visuReal MoveAI. Another stop was the workshop, where final work on individual parts is carried out before they move into production.

Mr. Fischer then explained the production process, in which all components are assembled, software is installed, and systems are calibrated. He also demonstrated how an idea becomes a market-ready product and explained which components are manufactured in-house and which are produced by external partners. The functionality of the visuReal Master was also explained in detail.

Later, Mr. Zwick introduced the sales network. This is divided into technical and commercial consulting and works closely with all departments. He also presented our LowVision range, which was specially developed for people with visual impairments.

After numerous interested questions and a lively conversation atmosphere, the tour ended. Finally, all guests gathered again in the courtyard, where cold drinks and light snacks were served. The SPD members sincerely thanked us for the exciting insights and open exchange.

We sincerely thank the SPD for their visit.

Breaking News – MIDO 2025

#MIDO Exhibition 2025 : The Eyewear Show

The MIDO 2025 edition, held from February 8 to 10 at Fiera Milano Rho, attracted more than 1,200 exhibitors from 50 countries and welcomed visitors from 160 nations, further solidifying its position as the leading international trade show for the optical industry.

This year, the focus was on two key topics: technological innovation and sustainability, two critical factors that will shape the future of the industry.

VISIONO at MIDO 2025 – Innovative Solutions for Centration Measurement

A highlight was visuSolution’s presentation in Pavilion 6, Stand K23, where we introduced our own branding “visiono” for the digital centration of eyeglass lenses. Our technology measures facial shape and eye movements to calculate the optimal lens position using prescription data – for improved visual comfort and precision.

Our CEO, Maik Zwick, emphasized how positively the trade show visitors reacted to our innovative solutions. Regarding the development of digital centering devices, Zwick pointed out that “all our competitors have now integrated artificial intelligence (AI) into their products.”

Nevertheless, visuSolution was a pioneer in implementing this technology last year and has once again established itself as an industry leader in innovation. Zwick described this early adoption of AI as a critical step.

In our device category, all competitors have now embraced the topic of "AI" and have incorporated it into some of their products. I would like to mention that we implemented this trend last year, and we can once again call ourselves innovators of the first hour!

MIDO 2025 not only provided a platform for technological innovations but also a space for knowledge exchange and collaboration among professionals. For visuSolution, it was an opportunity to further expand our leadership role and help shape the future of eyeglass lens manufacturing.
